We are rounding off the first half of our Spring term. Thank you to the children for their hard work and excellent achievements. Thank you parents for the appreciative way in which you are using our systems for contact with teachers.

Homework –some of you may already know, through your child, about the exciting maths homework system called My Maths, that we are setting up. Yr.5 and 6 are trialling it now.
Classes are setting up this homework at different times and I’m sure that teachers will be sharing
this information with you at the next parents consultation.
Please make sure you have made your appointment:
Tuesday 2nd March – 3.30 -5.30p.m.
Wednesday 3rd March – 5.30-8.00p.m.

Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes-
Was celebrated yesterday on the 11th February. The children who joined the parish Mass received praise, again, for their outstanding behaviour and reverence in church. All the children celebrated the feast with a special treat in the afternoon.
DON’T FORGET – NEXT WEDNESDAY, in the half term break will be ASH WEDNESDAY – the start of LENT.
1. We have asked the children to think about a whole school target as we journey through Lent –
Help Support and Encourage each other in our Learning and Behaviour
2. We will be sending out the Lent boxes after half term. As part of our Charity giving for the Good Shepherd (Children’s Society).

CONGRATULATIONS To Lily in Yr 4 who won the snowman, in aid of Chestnut Tree House. Thank you to all those who bought raffle tickets; we really appreciate your participation and effort. We have raised £100 for the charity!

Mary's Meals Curry and Quiz Evening - Sat 27th February

The Sussex group of Mary's Meals are hosting this evening to support hungry children in developing countries. Your ticket price of £6 will provide you with a curry and quiz but more importantly will feed a hungry child in Malawi for a whole year. If you would like to join us and maybe help make up a quiz team or teams for the evening or would like more info please contact Chris Rooke 551577. Venue St Joseph's Church Hall, Milton Road, 7pm start. Tickets are also available from TESSA RICKETTS ON 302903 or after Mass.
